In the Bangor Region:
Penobcot Valley Country Club - Affectionately referred to as “Penobby,” The Penobscot Valley Country Club is beautiful course to be appreciated. Designed in 1924 by famed golf course architect Donald Ross, the time and effort put into this course is clear. If you’re looking for a challenging 18 hole round, look no further than Orono’s “Penobby.”
Bangor Municipal Golf Course - Bangor municipal golf course is great course for any golfer looking to refine his or her skill. With both 9 hole and 18 hole options, this green features all the real challenges of golf on it’s newly designed short range practice area. Whatever your skill in golf may be, the Bangor Municipal Golf Course will test it.

In the Moosehead Region:
Squaw Mountain Village Golf Course - One of Maine’s historic golf courses, this 9 hole course is a treat. Opened in 1922 this green offers scenic views of both Big Squaw and Little Squaw Mountains, and is a relaxing green to take in.
Mount Kineo Golf Course - As New England’s second oldest Golf Course, this green is located right on the Kineo Peninsula. Built in 1890 this beautiful course makes for a challenging visit, or a fun round along your Moosehead Lake vacation.

In the Lincoln Region:
Barnes Brook Golf & Ski - This modest nine hole course was built in 1963 and has become a great green since then. Barnes Golf Club is a family friendly course, inviting all ages and with a Full Swing Golf Simulator this club makes for a great year round golfing experience.
JaTo Highlands - Rated by the MSGA as one of the toughest courses in the state, with some of the toughest holes in the state, Jato Highlands is a worthwhile destination for any seasoned golfer. With a full 18 hole course, this green has what it takes to test your golfing skill.

In the Sebasticook Valley Region:
Dexter Municipal Golf Course - This modest 9 hole course is challenging and a great test for the experienced golfer. Having excellent sand traps and multiple ponds, this course may take a few rounds to get under par.
J.W. Parks Golf Course - Opened in 1964 this course is a great visit not too far from Bangor. Don’t miss the Broken Putter, for a great post-golf meal.
Palmyra Golf Course - Rated by the MSGA as having the second toughest hole in the state, the Palmyra Golf Course is not to be underestimated. With 18 stunning holes of golf this course makes for a great test for even veteran and experienced golfers. Watch out on hole 12!

In the Katahdin Region:
Hilcrest Golf Club - A small but tough course, the 9 hole Hillcrest Golf Club is an excellent visit for someone looking to get in a quick round, but doesn’t want something too easy. With many challenging shots this course is a lot of a fun for any golfer.

Foxcroft Golf Club - A nine hole course in the Dove-Foxcroft, the Foxcroft Golf Club makes for a stunning, scenic getaway. Opened in 1963 this par 36 course is perfect for anyone looking for a quick golfing fling.
Piscataquis Country Club - At the ripe age of 90+ this golf course has seen a lot of swings, and for good reason. A great representation of “Maine Golfing,” this nine hole course is worth a visit.
