Set in 1940s Mexico, ex-minister turned tour guide, Reverend T. Lawrence Shannon, has been accused of statutory rape of a seductive sixteen-year-old. As leader of a tour party of church women, Shannon takes the group to a cheap hotel on the coast of Mexico. Shannon, trying to manage both his tour party (who hate him) and hotel-owner Maxine (who wants him for purely carnal reasons), is struck by the appearance of the virginal spinster, Hannah Jelkes. Please call or order online for tickets. Ticket range from $15-$30 per person. www.penobscottheatre.org
